Criteria:
I prefer 1 pc graphite rods for UL, weight reduction is most important here.
I'm looking for a light weight rod, 2.8oz or absolutely under 3oz would seem to be optimum for me.
I'd like a 6ft to 6-9 model.
I'd like something that has the "correct" amount of guides for its length.....not 4 or 5 guides and tip like many of the cheaper rods have.
So far I have my eye on the St. Croix Panfish series for about 100.00. I am also looking at the spinmatic rods. Any advice would be appreciated, I know there are threads about ul rods on the front page but I don't think they cover what I'm interested in.

Just ordered a Cabela's Prodigy 702-1 for $65 that may fit your bill. I am excited to try it!

The 7 footer is the only one on sale...rated 2-8 and 1/16-3/8...should be a nice rod I hope! I can hear the Delaware River calling!
