Ace Hawk CU Double

Post by prybis » Fri Nov 29, 2019 2:18 pm

Well my rod finally got here here after the first shipment was damaged. I put the rod together with the UL tip, it feels like it is a fast action rod. It is not a limber rod like I thought it was going to be. My other UL spinning rods I have been using with a BFS setup are noodles compared to a wiggle test. It will be interesting fishing this setup. I am looking forward to giving it a workout in the morning depending on the weather.

I'd agree that it is fast but the tip is very thin and responds well to light lures. Pretty sure you'll like the way it casts. Looking forward to your report.

There's always lawn practice. Pretty much mandatory for learning BFS anyway. :D

I actually took it to the retention pond to cast it a few times. I need more time casting and fishing this rod before I can give any feedback. With that said, it seems like I can put more power into a cast and not have the reel backlash. Only time will tell.
