good pliers for smallest split rings?
good pliers for smallest split rings?
I use monofilament for small lures. I am starting to put small black swivels on the lures that come with split rings. I am able to succeed at this on some, not on others. I am wondering if any of you have a brand of split ring pliers that works well with small split rings?
Thanks
Thanks

Check this thread and get the smallest of the Texas Tackle Pliers. viewtopic.php?f=49&t=84202&p=678643 Dunno how small your rings are, but I use it regularly with #2 Hyperwires.

I second the small Texas Tackle pliers.

Chris Stewart has a couple of pliers specifically for small split rings at Finesse-Fishing.

Consider Xuron 496 pliers. The latest Texas Tackle pliers cant handle very small split rings. Here's a video on the two from just this year.

I took a Dremel to my spare split ring pliers. They work great down to size 00 split rings now.
