Shimano Vanford

Post by ftl1951 » Thu Oct 29, 2020 6:51 pm

Got my new Shimano Vanford 1000 today. Super nice little reel. Extra smooth and quiet. Lightweight and just a sweet ultralight reel. Can’t wait to spool it up and try it out...

Finally got the Vanford 2000S. Had to order from Japan and pay more than retail price but I want low speed gear and don’t know when it’s gonna be available here.

Can you tell me the spool diameter of 1000? There are a little bit confusing on Shimano Japan site. At very beginning it showed 1000 with 40mm spool but new info shows 1000/2000 with same 43mm diameter. I plan to maybe buy another one when wildly available in US but the lower gear ratio only come in 1000 size.
