North Fork vs Loomis

When production rods are not enough, it's time to go custom. Come share your experiences building and/or ordering a custom rod and tell us if you'll ever go back to off the shelf.

I can say - just to compare - that I got a Phenix Elixer blank, 6'6'' ft, UL actioned, 2 pieces and it has 0.84oz. (wich is a bit less than a SCV)

Maybe the 7'3'' MH from Phenix has 1.8 - 2 oz. That could be believed.

This is disappointing. When will somebody make a blank comparable to the bcr's?

NFC has recently released some newer XF actions in the Mag Bass, Spin Bass and Spin Jig lines. I have not yet laid my hands on them so can't comment on how fast they are with a specific number. In the two instances where I've gotten Ex-Fast blanks (non-Bass) they were certainly very fast blanks. So I do expect some high action angles.
