Phenix T46 blank wt question
I saw some questions on the Phenix T46 blank weights but do not want to highjack that thread. I am posting the weights of some of the blanks that I was able to get my hands on:
7'6" Light - 1.44 oz
7'6" MH - 1.59 oz
7'6" Heavy - 1.63 oz
7'1" Heavy - 1.96 oz
as a comparison the Phenix Ultra MBX 7' Heavy weighs 2.29 oz
Please keep in mind that these blanks were the prototypes and the final version may be different.

Re: Phenix T46 blank wt question
impressive weights.
Curious how a 7'6" heavy is lighter than a 7'1"?
still curious on the following:
1) will they deliver?
2) will the production ones still be light?
3) will they hold up?

I am curious on this myself. Which is why I am trying to get some built and give them a good test. So far they are working out well for me.jimmyb wrote:impressive weights.

The 7'6" heavy is a prototype, although it is marked as a heavy, it fels more like a MH or Medium. BIt on the light side. I hope they change the produciton model to make it a true heavy.

Not sure who will be teh carrying dealers.
2) will the production ones still be light?
I hear that they are refining some of the actions but I am sure that they will continue to be light weight.
3) will they hold up?

Harry, I don't know if Phenix put any restrictions on you guys who have been lucky enough to get your hands on the blanks so far, but could you post a picture or two up of the blank.? I've read a couple of other posts where guys were talking about them and they were commenting on the raw graphite feel of the blanks etc.. I'm def interested in these if the production rods show to be inline with the prototypes... I've heard only good things up to this point... Thanks, B

Guys, I will have a full set of the Production rods in about a month or so. Look for a little Pre-Icast sneak peak hear on Tackle Tour. The first round will not have Micros. they will have the new Fuji K TiSiC guides. There may be some models in the future that will be offered in a micro guide . But definitely not a whole line.

Vince,
will the blanks be available at that time, too?
Thanks,
