Nice setup. What are you going after with it gills, bass, trout or all the above.

Hi,
I'm a fan of Bass Fising (tons of lures and many baitcasting reel and rods, )
but I started fishing with trout, and I cannot refuse "the Call of the Wild". So sometimes, in spring and summer, I take a trip with my child for trout fishing. Great nature, a lot of fun and obviously little( very little!) fish!

the reel itself weights 170 gr, spooled with 0,18 nylon.
the combo is 273 gr, well balanced .
the balance point is exactly over the spool of the reel.
the short rear grip will help when fishing in wading and you have a chest pack with the baits.

Very nice job! Inspires me to someday build my own rod. I love my factory St. Croix Legend Elite but it would be even cooler to build one. Keep taking your child fishing, makes great memories. I can't wait for my broken arm to heal so that I can get out on the water and do some ultralight fishing with my nine year old child (our end of summer trip had to be cancelled). Oh, the irony...I cannot go to work with my broken arm and I can't fish either.

I love this rod gpoler. How's it working out? I'd have a blast with it out of a kayak!

used this summer,
great sensitivity !
cast a mile even light spoons ( mepps 0 and martin 1)
best lure xrap4 for lakes.

got also some school bass (30 cm) it handled very well for a 3/16 rod.
