Resting up after moving snow all day and thought I'd post a picture of the new handle I just built. Used the new Phenix split reel seat and molded the rest of the handle so there are no seams or gaps on any parts. It's been quite a while since I did much painting, the Candy Apple Red paint job came out pretty good for being so rusty. I had a hard time getting good pictures of the paint. It looks very cool in person.

Exceptional work as always Stan...and unique as all get out. Straight up black would also be very kool. 8-)

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I'm very happy with how it turned out. I was originally thinking of painting everything black, but since the blank is matte black I decided to go with the Candy Apple Red. I think the next one will be black!

Thanks again.

Thanks jimmy, dipping in plastic coat would have been much quicker lol.

I don't know if I'm keeping it or going to sell it, if I keep it I have a red Pixy that would look good on her.

Thanks again for the nice comments.

Adding some decorative wrap would be a very unique look and give a kool feel/texture. :-k

That would probably be nice, but I'm all done with doing fancy wraps. Next one might have pinstripes?

Thanks again.

You crack me up, dude!   It IS reminiscent of those 70's cars with the cool vinyl dashboards with no seams. Yep, I'm old enough to remember them, but I was just a kid back then....I swear, I could have taken a nap on the dashboard of some of those cars! To the OP, that is indeed the most unique handle assembly I have ever put my peepers on! =D>

Paint jobs with metal flake the size of your fingernail. They were cool looking cars.

Thanks again for the nice words.
