Just got carbon grips first time, so I managed to test how light it is. I weighted three similar split grip butts. Carbon, EVa and Cork. EVA has just little bigger id hole, so result "lies" a bit.
Lightest:
1) Carbon, 3,8g (31% lighter thank cork)
2) EVA, 4,2g (23% lighter than cork)
3) Cork, 5,5g.

I have a set of carbons. I like them. I put a thin layer of epoxy on them to make the carbon texture pop.
The one bad thing is that I got the black and pink ones and the pink looked more like lavender

Wouldn't you want to go heavier rather than lighter on the butt grips for Balance?

It depends. If i have shorter than 7' rod what weights under 110g, bit tip heavy doesnt count. Overall weight is so light.

That makes sense, and really there is less than 2 grams difference between the Cork and carbon Butts so it's marginal.
I know, every bit counts.....
Thanks
