What ya like, and why ya like it? I'm thinking I may need a custom drop shot rod in my life. I can't see me using weights any heavier than a quarter ounce. Likely a lot of 1/8 and 3/16. Here's a couple blanks I'm eyeballing.
Phenix UMBX s-700m
Point Blank 701lxf
Looks like the Point Blank has a tad more power
Looks like the Phenix is a bit faster

I would go for the heavier blank if you want to use Texas rigged more often than open hooked baits. They are both good blanks. I use a lot of Texas rigged baits. I use a medium light (822) blank for dropshotting with 1/8 to 1/4 ounce baits.

My favorite, and the fave of many others was the Rainshadow RX8+ 822.5 blank, I'm sure the new models haven't been changed much if any.

I liked the 822.5 in RX7 for what you mentioned. Worked great as a moving bait rod as well.
I have the PB661LF, but cut 6 inches from the butt. I'd imagine the 7' XF in similar power would be sufficient for what you're wanting to do. Surprising amount of backbone in the PB66LF.

I keep wanting to build a dedicated drop shot rod, but I can't help but think that my current St. Croix MLF's would be hard to beat. I have a hard time finding a finesse presentation that this model does not excel at.

I second the RX8+ 822.5
