Has anyone used any of the new american tackle spinning seats? Specifically this one?



I'm used to using direct to blank reel seats. This one looks like you need to use an insert, and foam arbors.

Thinking of building another spinning reel. I notice I really dont use a rear grip or fore grip. They offer



So I was going to use the cork and place it toward the blank so it screws up to secure towards the tip of the blank.

What would you guys do with the right side of the insert? Shape some cork to go over it to match?

It uses the same insert as the casting version, don't particularly like them. There is zero practical advantage to them, lots of reasons not to use them.
