RDA Weight Attachment

Post by MikeK » Thu Dec 05, 2019 2:31 pm

I was working with the blank designer at Mudhole comparing some blanks using their two position rod support and measuring chart. He used a short length of the smallest size tubing for holding guides coupled with a 3D printed ring to slide over the blank tip for attaching weights.

I made something similar from the tubing and a small eyehook. A small cable tie holds the eyehook in the tubing. Out of about 60 blanks measured, I had one slip; it was a size 4.0 tip extra-fast painted blank. A second small cable tie held it tight.

The picture is a 3 power MB blank with 20 oz attached. This makes my measuring process a lot quicker.
