American Tackle G2 Carbon Handles

When production rods are not enough, it's time to go custom. Come share your experiences building and/or ordering a custom rod and tell us if you'll ever go back to off the shelf.

Nice. Gonna have to use one on my next build. I really like the Batson carbon grips. Even more so than Mudholes.

I handled these at ICRBE - they are extremely nice. Didn't like the way my Tatula Elite sat on the reel seat as much as a Fuji PTS but otherwise these are sweet!

They match ECS16 seats too. Tried to post a pic, but Photobucket says the image isn't available. I'll try later.

Please do. I'd much rather use the Ecs, rather than taking a gamble on one of the AT seats. Never tried any of them.

I've built both. What you want to know? Theres arbor inside in every part. Very easy to install, if you use those AT own winding checks. Fits mostly reelseats. These aren't light as CFX or Batson grips are, but very nice.

Ps. Rear picture has new AT compressed carbon reelseat 'Blade'. It's lightest and sexiest reelseat at the market right now. And VERY comfortable as trigger is thin and points straight down. \:D/

X2! Where is that hood from?
Get your kids hooked on fishing, and they'll never have any money for drugs or alcohol.

I turned it myself. The acrylic is from Beartooth Woods.

How did you do it? 1st inner hole for ULH and then shaping outer dimension for perfect? Looks very good!

Yea. Bore the ID to fit the hood, then turn the OD. I made bushings to hold the acrylic on my 1/2" mandrel.

It is quite thin once shaped to the proper size.

Here's a few more I did.
