Super Ultralight/ Extra Ultralight Blanks
Good afternoon,
Hope everyone is doing well.
I've done some perusing on my own but it has been unfruitful. I'm looking for a blank that will do 0.1 grams to about 3 or 4 grams. I know there are some rods you can buy pre built with those ratings but I've yet to find any blanks to have one custom built.
Thanks in advance,
Hope everyone is doing well.

I would be interested as well. Would make a wonderful small brook trout rod.

Check out http://www.matagi.co.jp/english/ - they have T-Russell blanks that will suit, for that casting weight range you need a solid tip.alanmacias541 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 12:17 pmGood afternoon,

Thanks for the suggestion. Now, to get one shipped her in buildable condition! Too bad no one makes them here domestically.

That SUL Tsurinoya you feature in your videos (always an great job by the way) seems pretty sick but I can't seem to find it. I think it was discontinued.

I was looking at the TR56 Area Sensor XUL. Never ordered from them.alanmacias541 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 4:24 pmThanks for the suggestion. Now, to get one shipped her in buildable condition! Too bad no one makes them here domestically.

The matagi TR-68 super big pond is another good blank. I built a pair of them and they fish great for light baits. Haven't seen anything in the US that even compares.

Perhaps something from NFCs freshwater catalog?

I use the NFC 4'6" UL blank from the freshwater series. Pretty nice. I like for panfish and normal sized trout. I prefer a lighter eod for the stream brook trout I get into
