Hand tied jigs
This is something a buddy and I have been working on. Owner Deep Throats are the hook of choice and are tied with copper wire.
Let me know what you think.

They look great. Those hooks are awesome, wish more jigs use those hooks.

Re: Hand tied jigs
This was the first batch I've done from start to finish. Hopefully we keep getting better.
Re: Hand tied jigs
Great job for a first batch! Excited to see what "better" is
Re: Hand tied jigs
Had a buddy that used to throw a finesse jig, early spring, in the same color as your "Wild Berry." He called it "tootie fruitty." Caught plenty of fish on it. Does that prove they'll eat anything..???

Re: Hand tied jigs
I guess so . My buddy tied that one. But hey if it catches fish I'll be throwing it. Me personally when it comes to jigs I like to stick to browns, greens, and blacks with different colors mixed in.steve1206 wrote:Had a buddy that used to throw a finesse jig, early spring, in the same color as your "Wild Berry." Even as someone who has never thrown a jig, they look awesome. When summer comes, I reckon I'll have to give some a try for our local perch, trout and chub.

Great looking jigs, tried to make any using the deep throat hooks with a flipping head?

Not yet right now the only two molds I own are 1/8-1/2oz football and 3/4-1 1/2oz football. A flipping mold is next mold I'm going to get.FishEastCarolina wrote:Great looking jigs, tried to make any using the deep throat hooks with a flipping head?

No doubt. There are a lot more colors I want to do. Okeechobee will be one of the next ones I throw together.ptorlax18 wrote:drool... very very nice. You need an okechobee color in there

Is this just a hobby for you and your buddy to use or do you plan on selling them?
