Just wonder if anyone has come up with a homemade weight to sasuteki rig yet.

You can use drop shot weights, threaded onto the hook point before you texpose the plastic.

I don't know. You'd probably have to use the same kind of retainer as used for trailer hooks, since there isn't much plastic in a tube wall.
I use heavier drop shot weights (1/2 oz and up) for bubba shotting. I just open the line tie a little, and tie the weight onto the tag end with a clinch knot, since it's going into some really heavy cover.

I wouldn't use expensive tungsten punch weitht to experiment with.
If you're going to modify a bullet weight, why not experiment with an old lead bullet weight, which is cheaper and easier to modify. You can drill out the hole a little and push your wire all the way through, and bend tabs down onto each side of the nose like a cotter pin, and then glue the wire in place with super glue.
Parasite weights make a tungsten weight that might work for you:
