Feel Free Lure 11.5 Kayak

Post by Montanaro »

Anyone with knowledge of this kayak? I'm going to look at a couple this weekend and can get a deal on one. I plan to fish small waters and medium lakes in no wake zones outside of key seasons/high traffic hours. I stand to fish a lot too and it looks like a solid platform.

I was in a local yak draler this weekend who told me they stopped carrying them due to poor feedback from customers. They look great and have a nice padded standing area but personally Im not going to chance it with their shakey reputation

Feelfrees are really big in my area, lots of folks have and swear by them...I myself had a Mokken 10 Angler that was ridiculously stable but slow as a snail- typical trade off with such a short boat, but it was very well made and had nice layout. Actually just picked up a Lure 13.5 myself to add to the fleet, and recently read that feelfree is getting ready to introduce a combo pedal/ motor drive unit that is really gonna be a game changer...AND it will retrofit all 11.5 and 13.5 Lure models...i say if you can get a good deal on it, jump on it...
