Dear All,

Besides fishing, I love to take BIF or BIA pictures in manual exposure.

Hope you like them and thanks for looking!

Those are cool. Just spent a week at Pickwick and I get totally mesmerized by those TN River ospreys tucking their wings from a 100- plus feet and hitting the water at what seems like 100 MPH explosion, then coming up with a fish. That is a bad-ass bird.

The Top, Black-Capped Kingfisher, is not a local (migrated) kingfisher and I will only be able to see it at the end of the year. I was lucky enough to be able to see this KF in an open perch last year.

The bottom, White-throated king fisher, is a common kingfisher here in Penang, Malaysia.

Thanks for looking, Reel Old Geezer!!

Cheers,
Wirinhar

I love how the focal length creates backgrounds that are simple and not distracting from the birds.

These are all very well composed. My favorites are the third in the first set--a truly extraordinary shot--and the pair of birds facing each other.

Hi Muskyhunter,

Most of them are taken with Nikon D3S + AF-S VR Nikkor 600mm f/4G ED +TC-14EII
