Got mine from TW today. I'm just about to pull it apart and add four bearing. Interestingly no bearing on the spool, big change for Daiwa. Don't remember the review talking about it not have the standard Daiwa speed spool design, maybe I missed.

Are you worried about weight ?

Mind if i ask where you usually get your bearings?

Not at all. Light weight is great but it's not the end all to be all, Zillions are heavier and are still one of the best reels around.

I get most of my smaller bearings (4x7x2.5 and 5x8x2.5) from hobby shops. They usually carry a ABEC 5 in both sizes for RC cars. Larger bearing I get from Boca or TackleTrap.

Admittedly, I don't mind heavier reels, but I didn't feel like the Tatula was very heavy. I've been using a T3 that weighs 6.5oz and I couldn't feel much difference with the tatula on the same rod

The Type-R has the same number of bearings. I think he is saying that main handle side spool bearing is no longer attached to the spool with a pin, not that is missing entirely. This kinda nice because you don't have to buy a $50 pair of special pliers if you have to swap out a bearing.
