Gear up for a Full Day of Fishing with the Simms Headwaters Backpack
Introduction: When is a backpack more than just a backpack? When it is effectively carrying everything you need for that next successful fishing adventure. Simms has a complete range of packs ranging from small hip packs and sling packs to full size backpacks designed to transport everything you need for a trip in the backcountry. The Simms Headwaters Full Day Pack is designed to hold a complete range of fishing tackle as well as destination essentials to keep you fully geared up on the go, no matter where your next fishing hole is located.
I use the Simms Headwaters Chest/Hip pack and use it more like a satchel. It holds my Rapala touch screen scale, a small Plano with terminal tackle, 15 bags of plastics, a jar of scent, pliers, a 1 liter water bottle, and then I keep various jigs, frogs, cranks, etc in the front hook holder compartment. It makes an excellent pond pack. Once it's loaded down it is difficult to use it comfortably as a hip pack so I use the neck strap as a shoulder strap and carry it along. I use it when walking the bank and have fished for 8 hours with it and had enough stuff to keep me fishing, full, and hydrated. It is DWR and the fabric is very resilient. Simms makes top notch products, thanks for the review Cal.
