Flipping Week : Gary Loomis Shows his Edge for Flipping
Introduction: The last time Gary Loomis designed a flipping stick, he set the standard for sensitivity and power, but if there was one criticism of these rods from his former company, it's that they were overly heavy and far too unbalanced. A lot of time has passed since his interpretation on these specialty sticks first debuted and now with his new company, Edge Rods, he's taken a fresh approach. Is the angling world ready for his most recent interpretation? Let's find out with our take on the new, Flip 787-1 from Edge Rods.
It's funny how things come back around in this business. For years Fenwick sold their flipping sticks with no trigger on the rods. I still have a beautiful HMG that I use and will never get rid of it because of that exact feature.
Similar to how Fenwick re-released the crankshaft rods as a new concept a few years ago when they produced them many years ago
It would be interesting to see some statistics on how much gear was reintroduced as new concepts or innovative that previously existed.
Either way junkies like myself are going to buy it. So I guess it's working.
