Introduction: Back in September of 2018, we shared with you Phenix's introduction of their Feather series of bass rods built with the explicit goal of being super light yet affordable. The end result? The FTX-71MH flew away with our Editor's Choice Award. The company has since introduced a new take on this same series - two piece rods. Now you can have the same lightweight performance in a more convenient, transportable configuration. Do the two-piece versions hold up? Here's our look at the FTX-C722MH.

Might actually be ideal

I use 3/8 oz weights on Erie to get to depth quickly, especially through current. Seems like it would support that better than. 6'10" x-fast ML sticks.
