Agreed. The Muse series is rather intriguing.
According to Jim at 13 this new Rod will not be the Muse. I will fit into the lineup somewhere between the Gold and Omen, be limited, and technique specific.
I went with the Zodias because aesthetics count. Is the e6x didn't have that weird yellow wrap I might have gone that route. I'm pretty happy with my 72m. Zodias, it's been an absolute joy fishing ikas and trigs on it.

Saw these rods at a local fishing show and was wowed with the construction, very lightweight, good balance, and price point.
they look to be a great value!
I also seen the E6X, a close second IMO also light, contemporary look and feel, much nicer than the present GL2's, but seemed not as well balanced as the Zodias
I love Loomis rods, but this time I give the edge to Zodias!

Zodias gets my vote I like mine a lot. The 1 year warranty will turn buyers away. I love my G. Loomis rods but I wan't a 844MBR in the NRX line not E6X. Still wating!
Zodias is head and shoulders above from a shop floor "feel" perspective. e6x just felt heavy like the GL2 did, though not as bad. Way better rods for less that the E6x IMHO.

I'm glad you mentioned the redesigned Crucials, since they're around the same price point as well. I know the new cork Crucials weren't mentioned, but it's hard to ignore the fact that it's a 3 legged race. So how is one to decide between the E6X, Zodias, and Crucial?
I question whether most people saying e6x have held both. Seriously, if your rod breaks after a year it's not likely a defect. Just remember that warranty is built into that e6x's price. You get less rod for the money in order to pay for potential replacements.
