Good for Jackall =D> .
Now lets hope Shimano doesn't stand in the way of the design process, or sacrifice quality to increase quantity, which seems to be their MO as of recently. I don't wanna see squad minnows in walmart sporting eagle claw hooks for $4.99

This will not happen. Jackall will remain a premium lure brand as it was intended from the beginning. Ted Sakai used to be with Lucky Craft. He understands the lure market and will help to continue to grow the brand. The desinging will still take place in Japan. If anything we will help with color selection and product placement.

x2.
Shimano is without a doubt KING up here by a long shot so hopefully this relationship will get Jackall lures in more tackle shops in my area. [-o<

I also wonder if this is the first step to getting some sort of Poison Glorious rods to the NA market??

To my knowledge we will not bring the rods to the US market. That may change, but for right now it will remain lures only.

The Poison Glorious range are awesome rods, pricey, but worth every dime. I have 8 of them, and its what I use all of the time, paired with Aldebaran MG7 and Aldebaran BFS XG's, absolutely brilliant. These rods are hard to get, even in the local Japan market, with waiting lists and such, so Bantam1 maybe correct in his view, I think these rods will still remain in the import/enthusiast category. but times are changing :-) And its great that NA now have direct access to the Excellent Quality of Jackall Lures. :-)
