Glide Bait Enthusiasm Continues at ICAST



Introduction: There are two types of product that really move the impressions meter when we publish a new article - enthusiast gear and big baits. Put the two together and wow. Glide Week back in April of this past year was a great success, thank you for all who tuned in. The two baits that proved most popular were both from overseas. This year at ICAST, we caught a glimpse of running changes to both baits that should please big bait throwers and fans all around.

Due to some issues in my personal life, I haven't been staying on top of things as much as usual. I did however make time to scan through the ICAST videos by brand on TWH last week. I was so stoked to see the 250 is going to make use of an internal spring for vibration output. I'm wondering if any more details have been revealed about this, specifically the science behind it. I'd really like to know if they worked long and hard to get a certain frequency or if it's just something they threw in there to make it different. I'm certain it's the former but I'm still really interested to learn more. Butch Brown's involvement makes it all the more intriguing to me.

In-fisherman magazine, Ken Huddleston in Souther Trout Eaters, and the book Knowing Bass have all been really instrumental in helping convince me of the importance of how a meal feels to a fish, especially to trophy class fish. I thought Huddleston was great in STE talking about how nature is subtle and how this translates to his baits. Hard to argue considering how consistent the Hudd has been at fooling giants.
