Just unboxed my SV70. What. A. Beauty! I put it on my EG Combat Stick (USDM). I to the feeling there’s going to be a rod upgrade in the future.
As an aside, I don’t think there’s going to be a problem with the 80mm handle. It just feels right.
You’re still costing me money, Cal!

I had an hour to fish with it and it casts well, with a smooth retrieve. I only hooked into 1 small keeper bass. Again, it handled the small bass well.
There was no problem with the 80mm handle, matter of fact, I could imagine a 90mm+ handle could feel shaky or unbalanced. An 85mm might be acceptable but why bother. Oh, yeah, it’s “Enthusiast”, it’s NEVER a bother!
I’ve been a round reel fan for a long time. It was like be catching up with an old friend.

Just an update:
I am really enjoying this reel. I can’t wait until the post spawn and I can really put it through it’s paces. It’s well designed and with great practical application.
