We're in the midst of climbing yet another hill, and we recently got our hands on the latest introduction from a company not new to this ride. Here's our look at Molix's RT Shad swimbait.

Thanks for the review Cal. Do have a jighead recommendation for this bait? I am not a fan of the double head thing with jigheads.

Not really... I have so many different jig heads it’s difficult to keep track of what is which

I use the Owner ballhead jigs. They work great for most paddletails.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Molix is an interesting company to me because of the amount of black bass lures they make. Italy had a growing black bass population (and there's a European enthusiast crowd that likes to travel there to fish for LMB), but it's been labeled an invasive species that has to be killed recently, and the black bass population has been shrinking significantly. (At least that's what I gather from reading a German fishing message board.)

Thanks. I'll try that.hoohoorjoo wrote: ↑Wed Feb 24, 2021 3:29 pmI use the Owner ballhead jigs. They work great for most paddletails.
The other option, for weedless presentation, would be a weighted swimbait hook. I need to find a hook that has enough gap while still being small enough for such a short 3" bait and not kill the action.

Woo Tungsten comes to mind... their hook might be small enough:
