Daiwa Steez AGS – Not “The One” You Might Expect but Absolutely the One When it Comes to Versatility
Introduction: Daiwa’s flagship rod series, the Steez AGS, has been redesigned with an emphasis on addressing more domestic applications. These new rods take the company’s ultra-light and extra sensitive carbon fiber AGS guides and SVF Compile X blanks to the next level with updated materials and more advanced manufacturing processes. The first rod we look at in this series is a finesse spinning rod called “The One,” which exhibited a unique, and unexpected, character and ability to handle a wide range of techniques and applications.

Great write up. Please keep the high-end non-swimbait rod reviews coming.

Thanks Phish-Hunter, and appreciate the read and feedback. We have a lot of non-swimbait related content coming and in editing now, including some high end reel and rod articles, and will be going deep into BFS this season. Always great to heard from readers on what you guys want to see most, and it helps shape our focus on our review and publishing priorities. Appreciate you.Phish-Hunter wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 7:36 amGreat write up. Please keep the high-end non-swimbait rod reviews coming.

Agree with phish-hunter! Great review on this specific rod as I'm in the market for a higher end spinning rod, but I hear rumors of Phenix releasing an updated K2 blank in the near future.
How's the sensitivity compared to NRX? I see you mentioned it competes with all the great higher end rods, but now you've had time on the water with both rods, is NRX still supreme in sensitivity?
