Introduction: Back around 2005 or 2006-ish, Abu Garcia shook up the casting reel market with the introduction of their original Revo series of low profile reels. Anglers were excited to have another solid option for their casting reel needs and dedicated fans of the brand were ecstatic at the re-birth of one of their favorite manufacturers. However, while Revo stirred things up in the entry to mid-tier market with the S, SX, STX, and later, the X, fervor over the higher end options seemed to be more subdued. That's all set to change. 2022 marks the introduction of Abu Garcia's new Zenon line of high end casting reels. Here's a look at the middle child, the Zenon MG-X.

In this review of the Zenon MG-X it is paired with the Trika rod. I would really look forward to your full review of the Trika rod. Curious if a review if in the works and when it may be published.

I personally got the 7'6" and really enjoy that it's something a little different and is very sensitive and an curious what others think of the rod and the technology it has.
