Importing JDM reels
Importing JDM reels
We have seen both ABU and Shimano starting to bring over JDM reels to the US market, can we expect to see Daiwa do the same thing?
Re: Importing JDM reels
Even if they do, it much cheaper to buy them from Japan.
Look up Shimano JDM prices here, and how much they cost in Japan.
Shipping time is about the same.
The only thing I would request, what I can use a warranty on my JDM reels here in Daiwa US service center, instead of shipping a reel to Japan.

Re: Importing JDM reels
As of now we do not have any plans on bring over JDM Reels.
Re: Importing JDM reels
Yes but with all of the new Steez coming out, the new SS and a better Tatula, it would be nice to have the options without having to worry about shipping and warranty work from across the world. Plus if you look at the cost the average fisherman spends on rod and reels, most of the mid to high end stuff is a niche so why not expand that niche area to cover BFS fishermen/women in the US (love trout fishing with my tuned Pixy and Volkey BFS rod.)Cracker wrote:Even if they do, it much cheaper to buy them from Japan.
