New Envy Black

Any idea when this rod will be release. I held off getting another one as I'm waiting on a new version. Hope the recoil guide is still on there.

thanks for the inquiry....but the next gen ENVY is still hush hush. Ricky Teschendorf our head of rod development has a few secret touches he is working on.
I don't know for sure when the launch will be.

Looks like the new Envy is getting closer. We hope to show it off soon. It will have some new features we are excited about.

The new Envy will have some "Fast" actions, and some "Extra Fast". Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to launch.

I caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a couple of prototype rods on a youtube video. Looked like the new fuji seat, which is one of a couple of things I would like different about the envy rods I have. The other being the recoils. They work just fine, so i have no problem with function, but the noise bothers me. I don't use braid just fc, I cant imagine how bad it is.
Are we looking at maybe a classic release?

I haven’t used recoils before. Beside a little noise with braid, how’s casting distance?

The New Envy will be released at ICAST. Our designs almost always utilize our own design reel seats. We appreciate everyone being patient...it will be worth the wait.

Hey Matt,
The new envy still has recoil guide right??? I hope so, only reason I switch to your company. I bought one to test it out, and now own 6 envy and 3 concept A and 2 inception. Can't wait for the Z. I will be replacing the rest of my shimano Core for that reel
