FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN!!!

WOW. We have a forest fire on the mountain right outside my office. We're all sitting here watching the Heli dump water on it. 8-)

Whoa!! I hope all ends up well for containing/eliminating that fire...Unfortunately these fires are just part of our Eco-System this year, esp ID, CO, CA, and other States that have high, hot and dry desert climes.

Good luck there, Tony. We've sure had a lot of fires in Southern Idaho this year. Lots of smoky, red sunrises on the river.

Especially Montana. We have a sister yard over in Missoula and those poor boys have been choking all summer.
Fortunately the fire here was short lived. ;)
Check this out. We've been on a burn ban all summer which has made camping a real bummer. We haven't had(just guessing) an 1" of rain all summer. The state just lifted the burn ban last week, but still no rain. They're reasoning is that the nights are getting colder(fine I'll give you that one), but they're second reason is that hunting season has started so there's more people in hunt camps. :? WHAT!!! So we can't have fires all summer in designated camping areas with steel fire rings and no under brush, but the hunters can just start fire anywhere they set camp?
You know I'm so glad that my hard earned tax dollars are going into stupid peoples pockets. It just makes me all warm and fuzzy. ](*,)
