MB F2-64XS + Daiwa TDR + Salmo Pike = 24.5lb Big Girl
Had a couple of hours on my syndicate lake this evening. Things were pretty slow at first, not getting a hit in the first 45 mins. Throwing an ABU Terminator 9g Perch I managed to bank a nice 10lb pike. I then promptly lost the lure to a snag. Puttin a red head version on I then hooked into a lively 6lb fish. Everything then went quiet again. I moved to the far bank and worked along without so much as a knock. I made my way to my last spot and started to work the lures. After a few minutes I made my final lure change to a Salmo jointed pike, which I have tuned to run at about 18". I started working the lure, again to no avail. As the light was now fading I decided to make my very last cast along a line of submerged trees off to my left. I'd twitched the lure back about 20' when things locked up, I lifted into the hit and all hell broke loose. The first run took me through the trees, I was sure that I'd loose the fish, but fate was smiling on me and she turned for open water. As the lake averages 18" I could see the mud line as she ploughed the bottom. This went on for the next ten minutes. Slowly I managed to get her in netting distance and very carefully drew her over the rim. At last the prize was mine, scaling 24lb 8oz on an IGFA certified Boga. In six years this was my first 20 from the water, and a personal best pike. The thing that amazed me was how well the rod performed.
Here are a couple of pic's.

Holy smokes. You must have some serious skill to land such a beauty on that light of a rod.
Very, very nice skinhead.
