Woodsmen;
I plug both ends with fitted EVA, keeps the heat in.
I would think 90 95 degrees should still be good. Did not get to go fishing in cold weather this year so there may be a difference, but capping the ends has worked to keep the heat in, in the past.

I tried that too. They need some air to activate.

did you give them time to activate before plugging?
Maybe a small 1/4 hole in EVA might handle the change in pads, allowing enough air without letting all the heat escape
I will have to purchase some of the new ones and work on it.

I tried that too. I'll mess around more. Awesome idea if it'll work.
