Re: Shimano Chronarch D--Gone??
The current incarnation has only been around for a few years, so I'd be surprised if they abandoned it already. If this is indeed true I hope they have something new for iCast this year. I love my 100D7! TW still has them all.steve1206 wrote:I was told by a fairly reliable source today the the Chroarch D is no longer available...and not backorderable..Can anyone confirm?

It's on backorder right now
Re: Is the Chronarch D gone?
I was told by a dealer that it was not backorderable, as of today....Is that not accurate?
Re: Is the Chronarch D gone?
Too bad, I actually like the performance of the reel. Aesthetics, maybe not so much the silver/pearl contrast. But if it becomes discontinued then it's good news in the sense that TW might be selling them at a reduced price. AND Shimano may be replacing it with a new model.

Steve, ask the Shimano rep on the Shimano Products just below this thread.
Re: Is the Chronarch D gone?
I think that the reason has to do that maybe the sales of the Chronarch D has been hurting the sale of the the Core
I think the Chronarch D is so much smoother and better caster and not that much weight difference.
