ICAST

Post by Bantam1 » Tue Jul 12, 2011 11:55 am

I have to apologize. I just received a phone call and I have to drive last minute to Las Vegas to deliver some rods that did not make it to the show. I am now going to stay and work the ICAST show and will not be here to post all the new information. I promise I will post it when I get back next week. I will try and get on here at some point during the show to provide updates.

You can visit the websites to see the new products. Check Shimano, GLoomis and Power Pro for all the new products tomorrow.

go to http://www.saltyshores.com/

They have some infor on the Chronarch E. Things that I like: $199, over-sized handle knobs, $199, comes in different gear ratios, and did I mention that it's $199? Things that I don't like: Looks like the drag star is graphite. I'm sure the picture will become clearer once more info is obtained throughout the day.

graphite siteplateS on both curado and chronarch? Not impressed! I really hope they're not what's holding the spool in the frame on the Chronarch.

One thing I noticed, although it could just be a lack of full information, is that only the Chronarch says it is made in Japan. The others don't say anything about where they are made.

Wow. They just made every single one of their rods look like a Cumara. My Cumara's don't stand out as much now. But on the upside, you get a split-grip Crucial, Compre, Clarus and even Convergence.

They definitely just blew the mid to low end rod market wide open with those.

Why do all the rods look the same!!

The Citica and Chronarch looks to alike too.... curado - still green!

$129 Citica G.. still probably preforms similar to an E
$160 Curado.. still probably preforms similar to the E
$200 Chronarch.. doubt it'll preform like the D. ](*,)
