Rookie question

When production rods are not enough, it's time to go custom. Come share your experiences building and/or ordering a custom rod and tell us if you'll ever go back to off the shelf.

Rookie question

Post by trav » Thu Sep 15, 2011 5:52 pm

Im new to rod building, but since im now stationed in maryland, and winter is right around the corner, i thought i would try this out. Im looking for a custom forgrip, like that on the Zombie rods, or Megabass rods. Ive looked a little online, and can only find the reel seat. Is this an item that i would have to make, or are they produced anywhere? Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

I guess you'd need to be more specific. I've seen a lot of different "custom" fore grips.

Matagi has a great selection of components to assemble your own.

Not to mention, just creating something yourself.

Thanks for the info. If you don't mind me asking, do you have a website? I'm interested in getting a custom rod made. I have a list of all the parts, I would just need a price.

The button right next to the PM button will take you to my photo site. The folders Casting and Spinning will have rod work in them.
