New baits carved and painted!!
I carved out a couple of new cranks and all of my friends I work with and fish with said they were a must have. Carving these two took me about five hours each, to get the look I was after. I said, if they all wanted the baits, I would have to learn how to make a replica of them. There is no way you can make a price for a bait, taking that long to carve out. I will have to give Thanks to the guys on TU for helping me out with them. I built an RTV mold for each bait, to make the replicas.
Here is my first bait and replicas: Joker Shad
Carved out of basswood
Replica
Both
Carved ot of basswood: Skully
Both
The baits swim great!! The replicas were made out of Alumilite Rc-3, added microballoons to get the bouyantcy I was wanting. Here are the baits painted:
Painted this for a night time or dingy water lake, no name added yet for my bait color
Painted this one in another night time color, no name for color added yet. Squarebill was cut out of lexan.
Painted this one in the Clown color
Here are the two Skully's painted, No name for colors yet. Squarebill also cut out of lexan
Any name ideas for the bait colors are welcomed!!
Here are just a couple of more regular painted baits.
Lite Hitch Baitfish
Dark Hitch on a Glider crankbait that I carved. Slowly sinks and swims in a big S pattern. Most gliders are used for musky and pike, but I wanted to see how one would do on a tough day of bass fishing.

Awesome lures! the clown colored one looks like Red Skull from Capitan America!
Re: New baits carved and painted!!
bad b(ass) those baits are sick looking so different compared to most carved baits. the details are unreal, the eye sockets, little nostrils. the shad colors are sick and i like that jerkbait shaped bait.
Re: New baits carved and painted!!
good work! You have talent! I could not do that if I worked on them for 30 days
Fish on!

You are obviously very talented. I like that you were definitely thinking out of the box for those crankbaits.
