Re: Taking these from the car's window
whoa! What are the top and bottom birds of that second set?
Re: Taking these from the car's window
Those are cool. Just spent a week at Pickwick and I get totally mesmerized by those TN River ospreys tucking their wings from a 100- plus feet and hitting the water at what seems like 100 MPH explosion, then coming up with a fish. That is a bad-ass bird.
Re: Taking these from the car's window
The Top, Black-Capped Kingfisher, is not a local (migrated) kingfisher and I will only be able to see it at the end of the year. I was lucky enough to be able to see this KF in an open perch last year.Reel Old Geezer wrote:whoa! What are the top and bottom birds of that second set?
The bottom, White-throated king fisher, is a common kingfisher here in Penang, Malaysia.
Thanks for looking, Reel Old Geezer!!
Cheers,

Re: Taking these from the car's window
awesome...what camera and lens do you use?
Let's go fishing!!!
Re: Taking these from the car's window
I love how the focal length creates backgrounds that are simple and not distracting from the birds.
These are all very well composed. My favorites are the third in the first set--a truly extraordinary shot--and the pair of birds facing each other.

What is BIF and BIA?
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible
