Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Got out today on the lake for about 3 hours. Only had 5 bites all day and only hooked up with 2 fish. 4 of my bites came on an Owner Zo Wire 4/0 flipping hook with a 1/4oz lead crimped on the shank and a Strike King Smokin' Rooster in greenpumpkin. My other bite came on a 7" swimbait but I didn't hook the fish good so he came un-buttoned, but for the few seconds he was there it felt like a good one. It took maybe a foot of drag before getting off, I had 17# P-Line CXX on that setup so the drag was thightened down pretty good. The gear used to actually catch these two was a Powell 703C with a Citica 201E spooled with 15# P-Line CXX.
All in all time on the water beats working any day so I can't complain! Sorry again for the off center pics guys. The second fish was the biggest, I'd say maybe 2-1/2 pounds

Caught these two spots last week on an afternoon trip. They were the only two fish I caught that day but they were nice spots none the less. No record breakers or anything just fun to catch, especially on the spinning gear. As you can see I was using my Symetre 3000 spooled with 30# Power Pro with a leader of P-Line CXX 15# mounted on a Powell 683 Spinning rod. The lure was a PJ's Lil' Brush jig with a matching Zoom swimming chunk dipped in chartreuse Spike It dye.

Good start to my vacation, she went 5lb4oz but scale reads few ounces low side. A few 4's and many 3's so far as well. Hope to break 6lb barrier this week.

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
Got out again today for a little while, caught 6 spots but 5 of them were under 12" . This is the biggest one I caught, all of them were caught on the same lure, the 1/4oz PJ's jig with matching Zoom swimming chunk trailer. I really need to find some bigger fish but I'm just having so much fun fishing the way I am currently I find it really hard to go try and improve on the size I'm catching.
Phippy nice fish man!!
