Still quantums though. Baitcasters i hope have made a vast improvement over the past years. There spinning is always good.

They look pretty slick. I love my new Energy. A vast improvment over my Daiwa Capricorn. It's a lot smoother using big baits and casts just as far.

I'm looking forward to both freshwater baitcasters. They look great. And Quantum baitcasters were pretty good to begin with. Not quite Daiwa or Shimanos, but not far off. There were only a few minor problems with the last releases, a little handle play which from the sounds of it, has been addressed on the Energy.

So what would the Burner be used for?

Quantums seem to be engineered well...but they're just so heavy. Almost every reel they make is over 9 oz. That's a little less than satisfactory to me. I've grown accustomed to using reels around 8 oz. or less.

i really want to know the specs and price of the burner reels. for me thats what it all comes down to. i have a price limit of about 200$ NO MORE!! anything above that i put on my wishlist( btw it is about 10 pages long!!) and look for it on ebay. but your right andrew, a sport like this is worth buying good stuff.

I'm interested in their saltwater caster. I need a new SW reel and that might be good.
