I can't imagine being out on the lake in this weather knowing the winds that await me. You have some large warm balls there sir.

You ever throw swimbaits? I bet if you put the time in you could get the state record. I'd bet those north Dakota bass haven't seen too many swimbaits...
What's the main fish forage/baitfish there?
Northern waters are patrolled by bigger and toothier predators than largemouth. I wouldn't risk throwing any of my expensive swimbaits. Especially if the body of water is known to have pike and/or musky. I once lost a Spro BBZ-1. Never again. 8-)

#80 fluoro leaders have no problem hauling in those double digit toothy critters!

Haven't lost a bait due to bite off 8-)

wow how is ND lakes not still be frozen over when it's more up north than here in MN? Our lakes all all frozen, even rivers that usually have some open spots are frozen due to this year being the coldest in decades.

It's a cooling pond for a coal power plant. It's pretty much that lake and the Garrison Dam tailrace that doesn't freeze over that I think is fishable in the entire state.
