t3 dilema

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

t3 dilema

Should I buy the T3b and upgrade spool and bearings handle or just buy the t3? I have a t3b and I really like it, I want to buy more t3's before they are gone.

I upgraded the spool bearings in my T3B and didnt gain much in performane. So the only thing i would upgrade is the handle. I like the performanceout right out of the box but hate the handle.
The Tackle Trap has Daiwa Advantage handles for $18(handle only) or Daiwa Aggerist handle assemble for $32

T3 already has the upgrades for only $100 more. It'd be hard to get a spool, handle, and more refinement for less than $100 with the Ballistic.

Wonder if the tatula handle and zaion drag star would fit? Could also add a 1016 or megabass spool with upgrade bearings. Maybe a worm gear bearing upgrade as well.

I put a tatula handle on my t3b. Works great. I had a lexa handle but didnt like the knobs.

Good to know, thanks AfricanBass! I think the tatula handle/knobs and zaion drag star will look very nice on the t3b once they are in stock at the tackletrap lol!

Yeah,the Zaion drag star transforms a reel in a big way.Be it a Zillion,Steez,TDZ,T3 or even a LIN 10.

I am in the same boat as you. I dont have either but I was weighing my options as well. What is the true difference between the T3Bxs and the 1016? Worth the difference?
