Re: Old School G Loomis blanks
I found them for sale for $40 a blank on a local hunting board. I'm inquiring about some GLX M and MH 7' blanks. They look to be legit...

Wow...for GLX blanks? Even with shipping that is a great price!Teal101 wrote:I found them for sale for $40 a blank on a local hunting board. I'm inquiring about some GLX M and MH 7' blanks. They look to be legit...

Sounds like it. I'm trying to get some GLX or IMX, either way it's a great deal. Might buy a bunch, build em, then re-sell em.dragon1 wrote:Wow...for GLX blanks? The seller of these blanks posted a reply, which has been deleted by mods...
Anyway, just FYI, he will not ship - pick up only on seconds and blems.

Hated it when they stopped selling Loomis blanks. I built many a fine rod with them, most of them I still have.
I used GL3 and IMX exclusively. My three favorites are all IMX.
Now I use St. Croix SCIII. It ain't IMX, but it serves the purpose pretty well.
