Re: Loomis New Rods E6X
I find it odd that its the series is called E6X similar to Edge EFX
Re: Loomis New Rods E6X
Lol. I was thinking the same thing though after thinking about it a bit I realized a lot of the industry conventions and catch phrases that they use internally in both Edge and G.Loomis are the same or similar probably because Gary Loomis founded both companies.brighamvang wrote:I find it odd that its the series is called E6X similar to Edge EFX

How do all of you Loomis fans think about such an affordable option for a high end manufacturer? I know Megabass fans are divided with the introduction of the LV.

Re: Loomis New Rods E6X
i guess i don't see the E6Xs as g.loomis' first foray into a more affordable rod. their GL2 series has been sitting in the $190-$220 price point for a long time now.ccass wrote:How do all of you Loomis fans think about such an affordable option for a high end manufacturer? Yep, Loomis has always had an entry level graphite. IM6 and GL2 come to mind...

I think these products are essential if a company is going to have high end offerings. I can't imagine shimano and daiwa lasting long if the only made the Stella, Antares and steez lines of reel. Likewise if Loomis only had glx and nrx. I think the entry level options are what allow us to enjoy the good stuff!

I still fish an old GL3 rod. Where would it fit in today's Loomis product line?Unimog wrote:I think these products are essential if a company is going to have high end offerings.
