Post by spookybaits » Tue Jun 16, 2015 10:10 am

Any rumors of new St. Croix rods at Icast this year?

They have a new line of LE musky sticks. I checked them out in February and they are pretty sweet.

It would be nice if they added longer rods to the elite line

Would like to see St. Croix step out a limb and put out a mid priced boldly styled rod line.

Awesome!
Hopefully without Sk2 or ACS reel seats- Fingers crossed for Fuji PTS seats [-o<
(And full grip handles wouldn't suck either).

Amen to both of these. I love the Avid 7'6" MHMF for deep cranking and would love to see this rod in the Elite line. I don't really mind the ACS reel seats but if no full cork grips I will be very disappointed.

Have you fished with the current avid inshore rods?
Those rods are absolutely beautiful in person, pictures don't do them justice. That blank color just does it for me.
I've been contemplating getting one for years due to them being so sexy.
I just wonder about how sensitive they really are.

I have, the Avid is a GREAT inshore stick. Especially their H/MH models... The tidemaster is quite dull though and is one of the worst options for the money.

Sweet baby Jesus- that's a legend elite with a PTS reel seat isn't it? And they kept that pretty green blank.
