This pic is from a topic currently running on another forum. I could only hope to be lucky enough to find that rare bait that has that "it" factor to get to this stage. I usually lose mine way before this. If this thing could talk ...

Yo Zuri rattlin vibes and Spro Aruku Shads are my bread and butter confidence baits. The Sebile Flatt Shad is great as well. Also always have a stash of Rapala Rattlin Raps on hand. The originals just catch fish. These are pretty much the only 4 I keep in my box at all times with a few additional higher end baits mixed in.

Do you guys believe what two identical Lipless crankbaits can have different catch ratio vs each other?
I recall old days when two identical spinners could give different results in stream fishing. Something was special in some of them.

Yep. It could come down to something like one less or one extra BB in the chamber, a slightly skewed line tie, the plastic being a slightly different density ...

According to some stories, the "secret" to the old Wiggle Warts was several things. The plastic mixture was never really a precise science, the hardware changed slightly as vendors changed, and the molds were 'sloppy' leading to less than perfect alignment during assembly. These are supposedly some of the reasons for that legendary 'hunt' they were known for.

Here's a YouTube link to a How It's Made video showing how Rat-L-Traps are made.

I was kind of (pleasantly) surprised at how low tech that operation was overall. That woman was slinging split rings and treble hooks at an amazing rate.

Pradco made a huge mistake when they discontinued the one knocker series. The original chrome xrk50 was my favorite lipless. Also best bang for the buck too at only $6.99

I've had good luck with red eye shads. Good bang for your buck.

Yeah I know about those, but the standard black and chrome is no longer made. What were they thinking. I picked up some in blue/chrome and it's still the same bait.
