Calcutta conquest bfs

Post by nagz » Sat Nov 25, 2017 7:51 pm

Hi folks

Never started a new thread on tt before, so here goes.

I’m currently glued to my smart tv watching the Shimano Calcutta conquest bfs in action, and I’m hooked.

Now I’m saving my pennies and hopefully pull the trigger soon

What I’m after is some insight into the reel from those who own it and have a chance to fish with it.

I’ll be targeting small creek bass here in Sydney, Australia. So lures will be anything between 2-10g using short accurate casts.

I understand there are other options available, esp low profile bfs reel, however, I enjoy the rounds :)

Thanks I’m advance

I have the 16 Aldebaran BFS that uses the same brake system and spool. It's a really nice casting system. If you feel like you need to cast even lighter (most likely not), the KTF spool is a nice upgrade. I can cast a noticeable amount better when it comes to the really light stuff.
