First Trouts!
Hello Everyone,
Took the tips i got from this forum and went to a local lake on Saturday. Went back with four great looking trouts from 1-1.5lb (Limit is 5). Here is what i was using:
Slidingweight~~~~~swilvel~~~~18inch liter~~size 10hook with power egg attached.
I was using a really small spinning reel setup so the fight was awsome. Almost as good as catch the stripers in the Califorina Delta... Almost....
Here is some pic I hope you guys enjoy... I want to try the rooster tail next to try to get some.. any tips on how to fishing with the rooster tail?

Nice trout. With the Rooster Tail, just throw it out and retrieve. On the retrieve, give it some twitches or dead stop and start reeling again. There is really no wrong way to fish it.

Some good looking fish you got there! What were the combos you have in your hand? I see a curado SF it looks like.

Your right skeeter.. that is a curado SF you dirty dog.... I can't believe you spot that.. That is my fishing partner setup.. The blue one behind that is my Dawia Viento.. (I am a sucker for that twitching bar). Here is my setup:skeeterboy77 wrote:Some good looking fish you got there! What were the combos you have in your hand? I see a curado SF it looks like.
Shimano Convergences w/ Sonora reel
Shimano Calyx w/ Viento
Daiwa *something ( don't know, I bought it for 14.99) w/ Sonora reel.
The cheapest setup caught me the most fish that day. I love fishing the trouts with my little Daiwa setup..

No, no, no. The bait monkey is the a force on this site that makes you spend all your money on fishing tackle that you dont really need to begin with. In fact I shouldnt even be saying his name or he will come visit me again.
