curado 70 brake dial

Post by robsone79 » Wed Dec 13, 2017 4:02 pm

hello TT, I got a brake dial that is getting stuck and wont allow the dial to move back and forth. secondly I noticed that when at the lowest setting it lands between #3 and #4 of the dial, where it gets stuck. any ideas/ fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Did you take the brake assembly apart? Or was this new out of the box?

You will need to send it in. It sounds like someone tired to take it apart at some point and assembled it wrong. Usually something is damaged like the brake pipe/gear. I could try to talk you through it, but I suspect there is damage since it will not move through the whole range.

sounds good, thank you. 1st time sending in a reel myself how does this work. in past a friend of mine would drop/ pick up reels on weekly basis from you guys, I got used to just handing over my reels to him, I've been spoiled.

If you are local, then by all means drop it off yourself. Or you can ship the reel in.
